Distribution Control System

The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago monitors and controls the waste water treatment process for millions of people throughout the Chicagoland Area. This award-winning facility is vital to the protection of the environment and waterways in the Midwest, and relies on Divane Bros. for implementation and support of critical systems.

Divane Bros. Electric Co. is currently installing a new Distribution Control System (DCS) in three northwest side reclamation plants. Divane Bros. is also upgrading each location’s Electrical Distribution System, including the addition of new motor control centers, and a fiber optic communication system to link the central processor and work stations in the control room of each plant with the associated remote input/output cabinets. Multi-paneled large-format video display screens are also being installed in the newly remodeled control rooms for display of plant monitoring information.
