Wacker Drive, originally constructed in 1926, is Chicago’s famed two-level thoroughfare, serving more than 60,000 cars daily. Between February 2001 and November 2002, Divane Bros. Electric Co. provided the electrical construction on the southwest portion of this historic downtown rehabilitation. Thousands of feet of conduit and cable were installed to provide power to the hundreds of underpass lighting fixtures on the lower level, and decorative light poles, replicated Daniel Burnham’s original design, along the upper level; truly a signature piece of Chicago’s Riverfront landscape. |
