US Cellular Field

The Chicago White Sox have returned their ball park to a look of days gone by. The newly named U.S. Cellular Field has experienced significant structural and cosmetic changes. With the reduction of upper deck seating and the installation of a new upper deck roof with all new field and upper deck concourse lighting, the ballpark once again has the nostalgic feel with upgraded lighting amenities exceeding Major League Baseball standards. All of this work, performed during Chicago’s frigid “off-season”, was completed in time for the upcoming season; another Major League challenge successfully undertaken by Divane Bros. Electric Co.

Soldier Field

The Adaptive Re-use of Soldier Field

Perhaps the most demanding construction project in recent Chicago history took place along the lake front in 2002-2003. While the Chicago Bears played in Champaign, IL for the 2002 NFL season, hundreds of contractors teamed up to re-build historic Soldier Field. Divane Bros. Electric Co. served as a valued member of that team. Electrically leading the charge, Divane Bros. Electric Co. provided the primary power installation throughout the stadium. By assisting the installation design, and constant coordination with the various contractors, and associated tradesmen, Divane Bros. Electric Co. was able to completely energize, test and provide training for the main electrical distribution system several weeks prior to the completion dead line.

Kraft Foods

One of the world’s leading suppliers in the food industry, Kraft Foods is constantly upgrading and expanding their processing lines at their Naperville Facility. Divane Bros. Electric Co. has performed various electrical installations for their process lines at this plant, and continues to provide service and support for Kraft Foods. In order to reduce the costs associated with downtimes of production lines, Divane Bros. Electric Co. provides the necessary manpower and equipment, working multiple shifts over Holiday periods to ensure continuous production.

Sara Lee Corporate Headquarters

Sara Lee Corporation is a global manufacturer and marketer of high-quality, brand-named products for consumers throughout the world. Headquartered in Chicago's revitalized River North neighborhood, their new corporate headquarters is located in a rehabilitated building that used to house a tannery. Divane Bros. Electric Co., was involved in the electrical construction and renovation of this building. The result was a thoroughly modern facility with the architectural lighting touches of a loft.

Chicago Orchestra Hall

The Chicago Symphony asked for a major renovation and expansion of Daniel Burnham’s famed Orchestra Hall. Divane Bros., under the general contracting of Turner Construction, addressed space deficiencies, poor sightlines, and code requirements. Along with a major stage expansion for the orchestra, patron seating improvements and general lighting upgrades, Divane Bros. Electric Co. also provided the installation of new, state-of-the-art performance lighting and sound equipment. An additional 3600 square feet, located to the west of the original structure, provides room for amenities backstage and increased rehearsal space.

LaFarge Corporation - Chicago

Divane Bros. Electric Co. installed an automated system that manages the loading, mixing, and distribution of cement at this large facility in Chicago. A 200’ tall, state-of-the art cement silo provides precise cement mixtures through the use of digital technology. When a cement tanker truck pulls into the loading area, it is automatically filled with the customer’s exact mixture of 8 possible ingredients, which are controlled by a computer. The system also controls the unloading of materials from ships docked along side the facility.

Hotel Sofitel

With its close proximity to O’Hare and Rosemont’s Convention Center, The Hotel Sofitel is one of the Chicagoland areas most desired luxury hotels. Divane Bros Electric Co. served as the electrical sub-contractor on this project and provided for the complete electrical installation. The luxury high rise contains world-class restaurants, a finely apportioned lobby, and ballroom with state of the art lighting dimming system. All systems within the building, including the fire alarm, and guest room door access, were provided under this contract.

Renaissance Chicago Hotel

The luxurious Renaissance Chicago Hotel, located in the heart of downtown Chicago, is the latest addition to historic Wacker Drive. Originally known as the Chicago Stouffer Hotel, this elegant property has been serving business travelers and vacationers since 1991. It was recently converted to the new Renaissance Chicago, an upscale hotel with 27 floors and 553 guest rooms. Guest amenities such as an indoor pool, jacuzzi, and fitness area with complete spa services. Divane Bros. Electric Co. was responsible for the complete electrical installation during the construction of this hotel.
