California Avenue Yard

Divane Bros. Electric Co. served as the Prime Contractor in a major renovation of the Union Pacific California Avenue Train Storage Yard. The multi-million dollar work consisted of three steel bridge structures with 400 amp automatic power reels for storage trains standby power. All the aerial 15 kv feeders were eliminated and replaced with new medium voltage power cables. A new primary lineup of equipment was installed with four double ended substations to power the entire yard.
