Divane Bros. Electric Co. installed an automated system that manages the loading, mixing, and distribution of cement at this large facility in Chicago. A 200’ tall, state-of-the art cement silo provides precise cement mixtures through the use of digital technology. When a cement tanker truck pulls into the loading area, it is automatically filled with the customer’s exact mixture of 8 possible ingredients, which are controlled by a computer. The system also controls the unloading of materials from ships docked along side the facility.
