The City of Cicero, IL, one of the state’s oldest and largest municipalities, recently transformed the former Danly Machine site, abandoned for nearly 20 years, into the location for a new 442,000 square foot junior high school that provides educational and recreational space for the entire community. Divane Bros. Electric Co. served as the electrical sub-contractor on Cicero’s new $89 million junior high school. Unity Junior High is home to over 370 employees and 4000 students. The facility is actually two schools under one roof, divided into east and west campuses. The amenities within the school include a Library/Media Center, two cafeterias, twelve basketball courts, and over four and a half acres of athletic fields. |
