Recommendation Letters
Please have two Recommendation Letters sent to the Divane Bros. Scholarship review committee. One of the recommendation letters should be from a professor, teacher, or guidance counselor who can speak to the candidate’s academic, scholarship, and intellectual capabilities. Letters of recommendation should address one of more of the following areas:
- the candidate’s intelligence, academic performance, analytical abilities, and other characteristics which contribute to the candidate’s success in school.
- the candidate’s personal characteristics (confidence, persuasiveness, diligence, conviction, vitality, poise, and so forth) which contribute to the candidate’s leadership abilities.
- the candidate’s values, interests, goals, and/or ambitions.
Special Circumstances
Please make us aware of any extraordinary circumstances in your application. If needed, please attach extra sheets with this information.

I, the undersigned certify that all information presented here for the purpose of evaluation and selection for the Divane Bros. Electric Company Next Generation Family Business Scholarship is true to the best of my knowledge. I understand that a completed application includes the following:
- Divane Bros. Electric scholarship application
- A 500-700 word essay describing the student’s interests, experiences and career goals
- A current official academic transcript
- Two letters of recommendation from individuals who can speak to the candidate’s character and personal qualities, one of which should be from a professor, teacher or guidance counselor
I understand that if any documents are missing, my application will not be considered.
An electronic submission of the application, essay and letters of recommendation must be received no later than June 15, 2009.
